Buddy was a gift to my grandfather for his birthday and Fathers Day in June of 2006. My Jaju (I know that's not the right spelling in Polish for grandfather but thats how I always spelled it) always loved coming over to see my lovebird Melina, and thought she was the greatest little thing. It was wonderful to see the huge smile on his face when he saw Melina. So I got him a lovebird of his own!

My only problem was that the lovebird was not going to be ready to go home until mid July. So since it was a surpise I wrapped up "hints" about what his actually present was. It was really fun watching him open each one and really having no clue what he was getting. I think the little bag of seed and the picture of a baby bird gave it away finally!! He was really surprise and really excited too.

Buddy was really great for my Jaju, he was still recovering from a recent surgery and it was really helping him and giving him something to do too. I tought him how to handle him and step up and everything he needed to do. Buddy quickly became his best friend, he always seemed to have him out with him. He got a kick out of watching him play and seeing him running on the bottom of the cage to come out. They even went for "walks" around the house together with Buddy following right behind him. He really loved that bird!

On December 2, 2006 Buddy lost his special friend. My Jaju died which was so very hard for all of us and still is. Buddy still looks for him and waits to go on walks. My Jaju was looking forward so much to come to my store and shop for Buddy.

He will be missed so much by so many people including his special feathered friend Buddy!!!
