~My Little Sweetheart~

A few months after getting Ruby the Macaw I decided I wanted to get another bird. I did alot of research on different types of birds and what would be best for Ruby and myself. It came down to a lovebird. Now I just needed to find one. I searched and searched and actually found a breeder only about 15 minutes away from me. I called her and she just happend to have one lovebird left, so I made an appointment to go see her that weekend.

She was a cute little thing, all yellow and just stayed on my hand for the longest time. I wasn't thrilled about her at first just because I was looking for more of a peachfaced, but she sure did grow on me. I knew I had to take her home.

Melina has to be the sweetest lovebird ever. She loves nothing more then to just hang out with me. Every morning she has to come out and help me make breakfast for everyone, and thinks shes just such a big girl when she sits on Rubys bowl and takes a bite. She loves to play and loves to talk with Ruby. She has learned whoo hoo, Ruby and step up. Ever since she learned how to say step up, all she does is say step up but wont step up, such a little brat. Also just this past month she started laying eggs and was just sooooooo proud of her little self!
